Sigtuna has many old church ruins, picturesque quarters, lovely garden cafés and restaurants. Sigtuna lies at the shores of Lake Mälaren, and people visiting Sigtuna can enjoy newly grinded coffee, art galleries, glassblowing, shopping in beautiful boutiques or simply strolling on the lakeshore. The bus will take you to old churches, castles, ruins and the picturesque town hall. We vill visit Vilby Village which is preserved exactly as it looked in the 19th century. On the way to Sigtuna we will pass Runriket, which is listed on the World heritage list as worth seeing. Within Runriket you will find the Viking Bridge named “Jarlabankes bro” and watch historical Runic Stones.Day 4-6
Gotland is unique with its diverse landscape. With its spiny limestone coasts, flowering beachside meadows and a medieval town centre, Gotland will amaze you. Why not try the domestic beers of the Brewery of Wisby or have dinner at the medieval pub Clematis or just walk at the side of the stunning city wall? When staying at Gotland, you will follow one guided bus tour, taking you to the northern parts of the island. This area hosts the spiny lime-stone cost, the endless barren landscape and the beautiful flowering edges of the ditches with a color span from purple and yellow to clear red. Gotland is a unique treasure of Sweden that few foreigners are aware of. Yet. Be one of those visiting this island before the rest discover it.
Day 7-10
Stockholm is a must when visiting Sweden. The capital is not only one of the world’s most beautiful, but is also full of historical and cultural highlights. Here you will find the Royal Palace and the stunning building of the City Hall, which venues the annual Nobel Prize festivities. You will also have time for a short stop at the Vasa Museum, hosting the remains of the sunken ship Vasa, which fatally capsized in 1628 just after its maiden voyage. And the fascinating districts of the Old Town, with architecture that stretches all way back to the 13th century, will help you find out for yourself that Stockholm is as outstanding as it is described in brochures and texts all over the world.
